Job Description


The Information Systems (IS) Administrator is responsible for the operation, management, and support of all Windows domain services and servers, network equipment, intranet and internet web sites, and desktop computers, thus ensuring they are efficient, functional, technically sound, and up-to-date. The IS Administrator ensures all company departments have appropriate access to efficient, effective PC desktop information processing technology and the maximum utilization of all computer and information technology (IT) resources

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Manages PC file servers, application servers, PC workstations and related systems providing full-scale computer and information services to all departments

Services include end user (i.e. customer) assistance; coordination of education

Server backups and training; centralized mini-computer, network, and micro-computer systems acquisition, installation, maintenance, programming, and support; utilization of complex business applications; information processing; and short- and long-range planning for key IT services, interdepartmental connectivity, and internal systems improvements

Manages the Antivirus EPO server and system updates

Responsible for the Virtual Environment including the Hyper-V hosts and guests

Responsible for all network equipment including gateways, firewalls and switching gear

Manages and controls company websites

Works with imaging systems and associates to ensure systems are utilized in the most efficient manner and data integrity is maintained

Manages networks and all associated equipment and contracts to ensure network integrity and security

Manages, installs, and repairs phone, security, voicemail and related systems in conjunction with vendors to ensure proper operation. Works with other IS members and vendors to stay current on changes and improvements in related systems and ensure appropriate hardware/software availability and cost-effective purchases

Manage all Helpdesk items, maintaining high levels of customer service and team work

Helps establish long- and short-range company database and other system goals and monitors progress

Serves as a backup to the Unix Systems Administrator

Has regular contact with managers and team members at all organizational levels for the purposes of information sharing and gathering and providing internal customer service

Maintains programs that measure and report health outcomes

Must comply with Company and Departmental policies and procedures

Must be present in the office to perform job functions, except for external meetings and events, or when authorized to work remotely from home

Minimum Associate's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or a closely related field is required

Three years of increasingly responsible experience managing or supervising IT operations is required

Experience with PC servers, client-server systems, and Windows Operating Systems environments is required

Additional experience in managing or supervising computer and IT functions and operations may be substituted for education, with one year of experience being equal to one year of education

Demonstrated experience with or proven knowledge in:

Microsoft Windows Server 2008, 2012 and 2016; and Windows Group Policy

Microsoft Hyper-V environments including Windows 2012R2 and 2016

Microsoft Windows Desktop technology including all versions from 7-Windows 10.0

Productivity software including Microsoft Office 2010, 2013 and 2016

Computer industry, internet, and e-commerce technologies, trends, capabilities, and security

Salary: $70,000.00 /year - Exempt
