International Shipping Clerk ($17.00 - $23.00)

What is the Job?



* Confirm and prioritize shipping methods of orders



* Match items and items count to Sales Order



* Completion of Shipping Order with one of several vendors: FedEx, UPS, Freight Carriers



* Label, Bill of Materials (BOM), Declared value, Commercial Invoices as needed for domestic and international shipments

* Ensure all required export documentation is generated properly and affixed to shipments, such as commercial invoices, SLI, etc.



* Confirming pickup by freight vendor



* Fully responsible for the safe and accurate arrival and delivery of all packages.

* Follow up on delivery exceptions



* Must be able to record and quickly retrieve tracking information and costs for all inbound and outbound deliveries



* Regular contact with carrier support teams (FEDEX/DHL/UPS/K&N) on the phone and via email.



* Solid clerical and communications skills needed. English required.



* Maintain stock of all supplies

* Use software to track, check, prioritize and route orders

* Direct the flow of packages from preparation to shipment

* Verify picked orders are correct by reviewing items and quantities picked

* Inspect label, barcodes and other features of completed orders.

* Coordinate export shipments for pick-up with UPS, FedEx or freight forwarders.

* Resolve issues regarding shipped orders.

* Assigning and maintaining appropriate Harmonized tariff codes.

* Completing necessary compliance paperwork including but not limited to

* Assigning appropriate Incoterms for each shipment.

* Working with carriers and freight forwarders to obtain the best rates, service, and transit times.

* Coordinating pick-up and staging of FCL and LCL shipments.

* Performs all other tasks as needed.
