Job Description

We have an immediate need for a logistics coordinator. Preferably someone that is well versed in;



* SAP

* DOT regulations

* Familiar with handling hazardous waste

* Familiar with unloading tankers

* Customer oriented (shipping and receiving)

3. Purpose of the Job

To coordinate operational logistics activities and administrative tasks, and to execute small logistics projects.

Assist with:

* Pack and label finished products.

* Load and unload trucks and other means of transport.

* Store raw materials and finished products.

4. Job Content

1. Organize and safeguard the process of incoming goods.

2. Organize and safeguard the storage of goods and products.

3. Organize and safeguard the process of dispatch / shipping of goods and products, including the required documents.

4. Organize and safeguard the administrative processes belonging to the above logistics processes. Administer procedures and work instructions.

5. Measure and report overall logistics performance against Key Performance Indicators and take or advise action in case of deviation.

6. Monitor evaluate and report on the performance of external logistics service providers.

7. Record relevant data in SAP or other systems, in line with instructions.

8. Check the condition of incoming and outgoing transport, both visually and by means of a checklist. Repair minor defects or arrange for repair. Ensure outgoing transport have required freeze temperature gauges and is loaded in a conditioned truck to prevent freezing during winter months. Consult Shift Supervisor in case of major shortcomings.

9. Obtain/Maintain DOT, IATA and Ocean Training for shipping domestically and internationally.

10. Ship hazardous and non-regulated waste in accordance with local, state and federal regulations.

11. Sampling: obtain and ship finished goods and raw materials samples by UPS, FedEx, or DHI.

5. Required Knowledge and Experience

* Educational level:

- Vocational education, logistics

* Knowledge of and experience in own discipline:

- Broad experience in logistics
