Machine Operator Job Summary:

Work within a manufacturing and high-volume production company to manage and maintain an extrusion machine. Solely responsible for manning the machine that extrudes plastic 1 pint to ½ gallon plastic juice jugs. Must have be able to read and understand diagrams for machine set up and label



Responsibilities:

* Restoring flow if bottles get jammed or fall over.

* Label changes from product to product including completing paperwork.

* Acquiring proper labels from label racks.

* Repairing web breaks between label rollers.

* Splicing labels together.

* Peeling labels from bottles for recycling.

* Restarting equipment after jam repair.

* Visually inspecting labels for defects.



Qualifications

* Must be able to stand/sit for the entire shift

* Must be able to use hand and power tools

* Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs

* Must be able to read and understand diagrams for machine set and repair
