Job Description

PHASE I of Training Matrix

* Follow all prescribed safety regulations including the proper use of all required personal protective equipment.

* Follow all Quality Policy and Environmental Policy guidelines.

* Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition according to established Gibbs 7-S Guidelines and perform 7S activities.

* Review SWAT charts at the beginning of each shift to determine if a deviation has been added or any changes have been made and understand standard work practices.

* Understand and perform inspection for machining defects.

* Understand and perform gauging per work instructions.

* Understand and follow Kanban and bar-coding system.

* Achieve expected parts per hour (EPH).

* Complete hour by hour boards and enter data into ignition system.

* Operate machining equipment per specifications.

* Inform Machine Operator of Production Supervisor of downtime and scrap levels above designated threshold.

* Assist in break relief as directed by manager.

* Able to work weekends and overtime as required.

* Able to lift 50lbs continuously for the duration of both 8-hour and 12-hour shifts.

* Meet all physical and environmental requirements.

* Perform other duties as assigned by Production Supervisor.

Phase II of Training Matrix

* Leads shift change huddles with incoming shifts.

* Chip out machines per standard work.

* Perform simple resets per training to get line running.

* Reset cell/machines from air confirmation faults.

* Interface with machine HMI on equipment.

* Understand assembly process on assigned line.

* Perform daily TPM requirements, help with routine PM's, monitor equipment variables, fluid levels and air pressures.

* Understand and perform mastering of gauge for designated cells.

* Perform leak test and Poke Yoke verification per standard work.

Phase III of Training Matrix

* Ability to perform all job functions of a "B" level Machine Operator.

* Ability to assist in leading work of "B" level Machine Operators, Quality Operators and Line Operators for assigned areas.

* Train to new processes.

* Reset cell from collision faults.

* Vend tools.

* Change inserts and understand, troubleshoot insert changes.

* Teach and touch up gantry points.

* Understand how to use quality gauges to perform adjustments per gauge readings/findings.

* Understand quality standards for parts produced on all cells.

* Submit maintenance work orders.
