Job Description

Working within the Drug Product Maintenance organization as a Machine Repair technician to perform preventive maintenance (PM), modifications, installations, and general maintenance of equipment and systems in compliance with company standards and procedures and government regulations (SOPs, GMPs, GLPs, PSM, etc).



Requirements:



* Journeyman card carrying Machine Repair, Machine Builder or Millwright preferred. If candidate does not possess a Journeyman card, 5 years minimum relative experience required.

* High school diploma / general education degree (GED) required

* The Machine Repair person is required to read and understand drawings / blueprints, utilizing this knowledge for the installation / repair of new and existing equipment. This job requires the use of precision measuring devices, proper installation/alignment of pumps and motors, agitators, and mechanical seals. He/she is required to work with precision bearings, electric motor gearing, gearboxes, packaging machinery and related equipment. A basic knowledge of machining principles is required. Welding skills and fabrication is beneficial in this role. Experience in a pharmaceutical GMP environment is preferred.

* This position will be routinely exposed to hazardous materials, heights, temperature extremes, equipment in motion, dusty and dirty conditions. The proper use of the correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for each task as well as compliance with all applicable safety Standard Procedures is a must. Also, this position requires stooping, bending and ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

* Must be able to pass aseptic gowning qualification.

* Must be able to work variable shifts and overtime as required.
