JOB DESCRIPTION
Maintenance Technician
Purpose: Responsible for building, machinery, and utilities.
Essential Functions:
A. Evaluating and repairing presses and molds in conjunction with the Maintenance
Supervisor. Makes recommendations to management for improvements. Responsible
for monitoring daily press activities and repair needs.
B. Complete assignments from Maintenance Supervisor:
1. Mold and Press maintenance
2. Equipment maintenance
3. Inspections and documentation
C. Responsible for press appearance and performance.
D. Ensure proper supplies are readily available for equipment and mold repair.
E. Communicates with Shift, Production and Maintenance Supervisors to ensure
smooth transition into production changes.
F. Document all maintenance repairs
G. Stop production when any danger or safety problems are identified.
Mental/Visual Requirements:
Part-time personnel and part-time concentrated attention and coordination required to
review documentation for sound business practices and use of technical tools. Ability to
clearly communicate with others.
Physical demands:
Physical lifting is required to move equipment and boxes while performing normal job
duties.

Maintenance Technician
Education/ Exper ience:
Expected to be a team player and contribute to building a positive team
atmosphere. Inspire and motivate others to perform well. Looks for ways to
improve the quality of their work. Uses time well and is conscientious about
product scrap and costs.
Anticipated to have a high ability to work independent y, prioritize, multi-task,
problem- solve, good interpersonal skills, and communicate well. Should have
excellent organization skills with a high degree of accuracy. Should be highly
motivated, dependable, detail-oriented, and respects confidentiality. Should have
excellent reading, grammar, and general math skills.
Should be proficient with Windows operating system, Microsoft Word, Excel,
Power Point, Email, and Internet.
Ability to be punctual and occasionally work overtime, as needed.
