MAINTENANCE MANAGER
Our client in the Woodbridge, ON area is looking for a seasoned, technically-sound Maintenance Manager to add to their team. If you have experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment working on large pieces of equipment AND management experience, then this role is for you.

The Role:
- Support, guide, train and assist 17 direct reports containing licensed millwrights and electricians, apprentices and custodial staff
- Manage relationships and contracts with external vendors, and service providers including quotations, POs, invoices, payments, scope of works, scheduling and etc.
- Work closely with engineers to support emergency repairs and regular services in the facility including servicing the building, stationary equipment and any other facility related equipment or systems.
- Plan and oversee all repairs, regular PMs and installation activities.
- Support the capital and engineering projects; installation and commissioning of the new equipment, systems and machinery.
- Manage the department budget and create reports on expenses, services, safety inspections, and downtime statistics.
- Under the direction of the Plant Manager, determines and assigns maintenance priorities. Monitors maintenance assignments to ensure quality workmanship and specification compliance.
- Provide direction to team. Supervises work and Inspects work for completeness
You Bring:
- licensed tradesperson with 5 years of hands on experience in maintenance management OR engineering education with 5+ years of maintenance mgt experience
- experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing setting (stamping, presses, processing, cranes, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, valves, etc)
- Hands-on individual with the proven ability to provide leadership and direction within the maintenance department
- Knowledge and /or experience in LEAN manufacturing an asset;
- Strong communication and analytical skills; computer skills
