Job Description

Our company is looking for a DIRECT HIRE MAINTENANCE MECHANIC

Location Ho-Ho-Kus NJ



Duties and Responsibilities

* Performs highly diversified duties to install, repair, and maintain production machines, tools, and fixtures.

* Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.

* Performs mechanic skills activities including, but not limited to, the troubleshooting and repair of, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.

* Maintains spare parts inventory of critical parts, consumables, and general supplies.

* Sources parts, machine components, and supplies to generate purchase order requests.

* Uses computerized maintenance management system to enter and close work orders, view schedules, etc.

* Communicates with equipment manufacturer for technical support and service.

* Communicates with machine operators and department leads to inform of equipment status and down time scheduling.

* Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

* Uses a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.

* Detects faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.

* Complies with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

* Other duties as required.

* The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

* Candidate must be able to perform the physical responsibilities of the job utilizing arms, hands, and fingers to perform complex functions of manufacturing parts and performing other duties of the job; e.g., standing, sitting, walking throughout the facility and stairs, bending, squatting, and kneeling, etc.

* Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
