Job Description

* Develop maintenance plans and activities to ensure meeting production requirements throughout the facility.

* Supervise preventive maintenance on all equipment, ensure cycle time and schedules are met.

* Enforce safety and a clean and safe working environment.

* Supervise and coordinate the activities of hourly associates engaged in the maintenance and project work in Maintenance Department.

* Read and analyse charts, work orders, maintenance, and production schedules in order to meet customer requirements. Set all daily, monthly, preventative maintenance checks in accordance with engineered specifications.

* Supervises the fabrication of repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.

* Confer with other supervisors/managers to constantly improve maintenance activities and timelines.

* Plan and establish maintenance schedules, assignments, to meet production sequences to meet daily goals.

* Order/Inspect parts, and equipment to detect defects or malfunctions. Determine best problem-solving solution in accordance with plant engineering and expert production leads.

* Ensure safe operation of all equipment and train associates as necessary.

* Enforce Lock-out, Tag/out procedures and maintain equipment as such.

* Ensure all associates adhere to maintenance, production, and processing standards.

* Confer with management for guidance in resolving employee issues.

* Ensure all Company procedures and policies applicable to your operation are enforced.

* Monitor work order system, parts inventory, using SAP, and other systems.

* Ensure spare parts are readily available and minimum order quantities are correct

* Provide performance evaluations.


* High School Diploma or Equivalent required

* Engineering and/or Business Degree preferred

* 3-5 years experience in directing and supervising employees

* Experience in glass manufacturing or related manufacturing industry

* Ability to train and motivate personnel in order to balance staffing strengths

* Excellent written and oral communications and interpersonal skills
