Description/Comment: Flight Hardware Technician:

The responsibilities listed describe the general nature and level of work expected of a person assigned to this position. All job requirements listed indicate the minimum level of knowledge, skills and/or ability deemed necessary to perform the job proficiently. Comply with all laboratory operations and specification manuals. Fabrication, assembly and testing of components and system hardware. ? Assist in test rig buildup and take down. Assist in test operations including start up and shut down of tests. ? Electrical assembly and testing. Perform laboratory calibrations and sampling. General maintenance. Laboratory readiness. Engineering evaluation tests. Writing of Test Preparation Sheets (TPS's). Buildup of mockups and ground test equipment. Maintain laboratory and technician certifications. ? Assemble and test Controlled and Flight Hardware.



Experience/Qualifications:

Ability to assemble components using various hand and power tools according to specifications. Ability to read blueprints and/or standard work instructions. Ability to fabricate wiring harness, test and trouble shoot. Solid mechanical background required. Ability to read blueprints, bills of material, and precision measuring instruments. One-year experience in manufacturing assembly. Good communication skills relative to supervisor and other related departments. Ability to operate various shop tools including power and Torque wrenches. Ability to perform or be trained in Crimping, Soldering and Component staking.
