Manual Machinist 
Fairfield, IA
1st Shift 7am-3:30pm

CLIMATE CONTROLLED FACILITY!

PAY: $23-28/hr DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE!

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Industrial Radial Arm Drill Press.
• Utilizing blueprints provided by engineers for placement, drill bores, counter bores, and other holes needed.
• Performs close tolerance measurements utilizing measuring devices such as gauge pins, micrometer, calipers, or other related equipment.
• Regularly tests, oils, and cleans all equipment, tools, and machines to ensure they are arranged and set properly and working efficiently.
• Work with team to ensure projects are finished precisely and in a timely manner.

Competencies

• Proficient with measuring instruments such as tape measures, micrometers, rulers, scribes, and geometric dimensions and tolerances.
• Knowledge/experience with Pro E, Work NC and Power Mill by Autodesk or related CAD/CAM software
• Proficient with a range of cutting tools, inserts, and fixtures used in CNC machining as well as knowledge of various materials and their properties. 
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy and precision throughout the machining process.
• Good communication with the ability to work as part of a team and collaborate effectively with engineers, mold makers, and other staff. 
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise.
