Job Description

Manufacturing Engineering Manager | Eagan, MN | Contract to hire OR Direct Hire | $100-$130k + 7.5% Bonus

* The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will lead the transformation of the Manufacturing Function to establish the factory in Eagan as the Franchise Manufacturing Center of Excellence. Following on to then the create World Area Regional Manufacturing transferring the same (franchise) technologies and processes to Regional World Area sites to uphold a consistent brand promise and drive speed and flexibility to create a superior customer experience.

* Drive Key Performance Metrics across all global sites in terms of Safety, Quality and Productivity

* Transfer and maintain global consistency using best practices

Position Responsibilities:

* Design and execute brand new state of the art assembly lines

* Create globally consistent assembly standards and work instructions

* Enhance the use of Lean Manufacturing and improve DL hours and first pass yeild

* Improve reliability and effectiveness of manufacturing processes, drive and support Continuous Improvement initiatives, and step changes in the metrics of safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.

* Hire, train and improve the function of Manufacturing Engineering

* Vastly improve material handling and consumption accuracy

* Assesses labor methods, capital investments to ensure performance metrics are attained

* Verifies all New Products are designed for assembly and distribution.

* Drives a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

* Regularly communicate KPI performance goals and performance to the plant associates.

* Coach department leaders through business and leadership development plans.

* Develop and maintain business continuity and crisis management plans.

* Maintain compliance with company-wide standard operating procedures and develop local standard operating practices/processes/procedures where possible.

* Supports "Lean Business Enterprise" initiatives for continuous process improvement and waste elimination.

Position Requirements (Knowledge and Experience):

* BS in Industrial, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering required, MBA, MS Preferred

* 6+ years of experience in Manufacturing environment

* 2+ years of experience supervisory experience

* Outstanding communication skills with the ability to work effectively and interact with employees of all levels

* Light industrial industry experience (assembly operations)


Experience Designing & understands line design, set-up, picking equipment, tools, quality system (know details of it & can teach it to others)
