MANUFACTURING PROJECT ENGINEER | DAYTON, MN | $88-$93k SALARY | DIRECT HIRE
Our client is seeking a Manfuacturing Project Engineer to help with the moving of facilities/equipment from Minneapolis to the new facility in Dayton, MN. This person will be managing projects and implementing new ideas & processes related to machining.
* Plan, execute and report priorities
* Man-hour estimates.
* Reacting to changing priorities.
* Recordkeeping and reporting.
* Demonstrates the ability to stay abreast of industry developments in technical field to maintain technical knowledge.
* Provide general production support for machining and fabrication area as needed
* Evaluate upgrades.
* Troubleshoot issues (quality, efficiency, etc.)'
* Communication liaison between engineering, production, marketing, purchasing, etc., and Operations Manager
* Demonstrate team leadership skills and works well as a team player.
* Provide technical assistance.
* Provide hands-on problem resolutions.
* Report and facilitate correction of out-of-specification conditions.
* Utilizes good communication skills.
* Determine the proper processes
* Create and analyze standards and operation layouts.
* Select and implement proper fixturing and tooling for machining and metal fabrication.
* Perform capital equipment justification as needed.
* Plan and implement preventive and corrective actions for reducing scrap, rework and down time.
* Research and implement new technological ideas to keep the factory continuously improving.
* Lead and conceptualize process improvements.
Essential Qualifications
* BS or MS: Engineering realm
5+ years as a Manufacturing Engineer
Developing processes for machining on assembly
Injection molding OR Assembly experience required!
Machining background requirement!
