Job Description

Job Purpose



To receive, grade, and distribute the material to the proper processing area that allows for maximum upgrade potential while ensuring the accuracy of customer receipts.



Responsibilities Of All Employees



Assist and support the implementation of EHS initiatives and strategies to reduce risk including but not limited to the areas of OSHA, ergonomics, injury/illness reduction, hazard communication, environmental, emergency preparedness, and general employee safety

Supports LIFE areas, Safety Leading Indicators, and Global Program Elements

Ensures a clean and safe work environment

Adhering to Plant policies and guidelines

Working safely and looking out for the safety of those around them

Following Safe Reliable Methods (SRMs) or Job Safety Analyses (JSAs)

Maintaining a safe and clean work environment according to plant housekeeping standards

Attending and participating in Plant safety meetings

Managing controllable costs through proper equipment, tool, and consumable usage

Reporting any safety or maintenance concerns

Key Responsibilities



Complete pre-start forklift maintenance inspection report (or VCR)

Complete daily production sheet accurately recording tons received for sort line and shredder

Record and input into MRS (Material Receiving System) weights, bin count and bin sizes for each customer

Complete a daily customer receiving log (bin counts, tote counts by the customer)

Forward daily customer receiving log to Operations Specialist for daily entry matching/reconciling

Pushing shredded material from the shredder baler into the bunker

Dump non-sort material into bunkers

Dump sorting material across sort line

Inspect/tag equipment (bins, totes or other containers) for: Damage and Maintenance needs, Proper company logo and Identification/specification labels

Assign a trained shredder to shred on an as-needed basis

Validate data accuracy before end of the shift by matching driver customer receipts with MRS entry receipts

Ensure that driver has provided accurate customer name and address information on all equipment received if this information is not present report the issue dispatch for correction

Assist with the training of Sorting personnel with respect to grade training

Complete daily weekly monthly PMs for Shredder, Floor Scale debris cleaning

Containers are monitored in the event they may need to be repaired or cleaned before sending back Tools used * N/A Information collected and exchanged * Communicate with dispatch when trucks arrive/leave * Communicate with floor lead - maintenance issues, downtime, production issues * Communicate with Supply Representative on any issues with supplier contamination, change of material type received or MRS grade family discrepancies Training/Registration/License/Certification requirement * Paper grade training * Shredder safe operating procedures, Lockout, Tag-out procedures * Computer operation including MRS software knowledge * PM process for Shredder * Floor scale cleaning process.



Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
