OSITION SUMMARY:
The Material Handler ensures customer needs are met by fulfilling orders including monitoring and maintaining inventory levels by performing cycle counts, receiving materials, kitting orders, and delivering materials to correct departments/ locations. This position will support both lifecycle parts receiving/ fulfillment and production.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Receive and deliver inventory to appropriate location and personnel; requires detail matching, counting, weighing, and reporting discrepancies of incoming materials to ensure accuracy.
Unload, receive, store, pull, pack, and transport materials in accordance with the receiving SOP.
Perform inspections on incoming materials as required
Replenish stock areas throughout the shop
Perform cycle counts accordingly
Monitor and maintain inventory levels
Kit orders and expedite shortages to meet committed shipment schedule.
Conduct activities in a safe and healthy manner and work in accordance with established safety and company requirements, including required PPE.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform stock room duties as necessary
Exceptional attendance
Responsible for area housekeeping
Promote a positive working environment in order to achieve the organization's goals.
Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE/ SKILL/ ABILITY/ EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED.
1 year of stock room or inventory experience or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.
Strong commitment to follow-through.
Excellent communication skills
Basic math skills and problem-solving skills are required.
Basic computer skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.) preferred.
Ability to operate a forklift strongly preferred; previous experience a plus.
Ability to work flexible hours with some weekend and holiday work required.
