Job Description

Position Summary: A Material Handler assists with the loading/unloading of materials and deliveries and moves them to and from storage areas, machines and loading docks, into trucks or storage facilities.



Principal Duties and Responsibilities:





* Assist with maintaining production and distribution of product by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies, and staging finished product for shipping





* Bring and take away gaylords/containers of raw materials, works in progress, and finished good from the oven cells



* Assist with organizing the shipping and receiving department.



* Assists with cycle counts when needed.



* Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, banding and securing product



* Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspection paperwork





* Perform job in a safe manner, putting safety first.



* Other duties as assigned.





Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:





* General Understanding of the manufacturing process



* Strong attention to detail





* Basic computer skills required- must be able to navigate ERP system comfortably



* Experience in Epicor or another ERP a plus



* Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing material and supplies in stock and recording location of inventory



* Locates materials and supplies for production requirements



* Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.





* Ability to communicate with co-workers and work as a team member.



* Forklift license is required (if no experience, we will train the right individual)
