Job Description

Manpower is looking for several Material Handler for a permanent full-time employment, these roles start immediately.



Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Material Handler assists the Driver in delivering building products to specific customer locations ensuring product is damage free and customers are satisfied.

What is the job?



* Follows the safety program of the job site unless they are less stringent than client's safety policy and program.

* Follows direction of Driver/Lead Hand (required safety protocols, delivery requirements, etc.)

* Provides efficient, courteous service and damage free material to the customer.

* Manually lifts various building materials from the vehicles ensuring the loads are placed in the locations specified by the customer.

* Assists in loading customer orders on the trucks as required.

* Assists in tying down the building materials on the truck.

* Assists in reading and checking sales orders ensuring the quality and accuracy of the load.

* Safely operates all equipment.

* Uses hand signals from outside of the vehicle to guide the Driver on the job site ensuring no damage occurs.

* Projects and upholds a clean, respectable, and professional image.

* The incumbent is responsible for learning about company products.

* Reacts to change productively and performs other essential tasks as assigned

* Other duties as assigned



What do you bring to the job?



* High school diploma or equivalent

* Proficient in relevant computer applications

* 1-3 years of experience in a warehouse environment or equivalent

* Knowledge of forklift operation or boom truck experience, trouble shooting and maintenance

* Superior listening, verbal, and written communication skills

* Excellent physical fitness with the ability to lift to a maximum of 90lbs pounds with assistance.

* Available for various shifts

* Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment is a must

* Able to undergo a substance testing

* Ability to have own transportation

* Able to provide 3 professional reference

* Must have Class 5 Drivers License is an asset.

* Able to start immediately
