Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer who has the experience to work in a highly automated industrial environment. This is a hands-on position that allows you to be involved in all areas of the plant with the following responsibilities.



Specific Responsibilities:



To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform essential duties that include the following; other duties may be assigned:





* Follow established drafting standards for equipment within plant.

* Interface with equipment suppliers and Operations to purchase parts for legacy equipment.

* Work with factory-level engineers and technicians to trouble shoot mechanical issues on legacy equipment.

* Work with the Engineering Manager from project inception through start of production to ensure equipment validation is complete and comprehensive.

* Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, equipment layouts, and mechanical P & IDs using drafting tools and computer-aided design (CAD)/drafting equipment and software to help trouble shoot process equipment and update drawings.

* Work with Engineering Manager and Technicians to help eliminate machine and system malfunctions, minimize/eliminate operator errors, eliminate reoccurring equipment issues, increase efficiency, increase output, decrease set-up time, and decrease cost.

* Hands on involvement with plant repairs and equipment installations.

* Follow plant safety policies and procedures.

* Cover engineering call in duties, typically once a month, but can vary.

* Use of an optical level to make machine adjustments



Skills/Requirements:





* Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

* Good written and oral communication skills.

* Computer skills including knowledge of Windows based programs, Autodesk CAD software (AutoCAD, Solidworks, Inventor, etc.), MS Office, and MS Project.

* 0 to 5 years of Industrial Manufacturing experience.

* Will consider recent graduates.
