Job Description

Our growing Milton client who is a leader in the automotive manufacturing industry is looking for Certified Millwrights to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-4 years related experience and will be responsible for the following:



The Millwright will maintain all equipment to required standards and be responsive to line calls and equipment failures. The Millwright routinely performs work independently and must be able to work in an environment with many distractions, maintaining a high level of accuracy and safety, while performing their duties.



Minimum Requirements



* Ontario Certificate of Qualification in the required field Millwright

* Candidates will have a Certificate of Apprenticeship or possess a recognized equivalent (testing to validate abilities may be required)

* Experience with PLC's: knowledge in programming and troubleshooting of Allen Bradley and/or Siemens PLC's required

* Experience with Robotics; knowledge in programming and troubleshooting of Fanuc and Kuka robots required

* Demonstrated knowledge of English, both oral and written

* Demonstrated knowledge of Mathematics

* Demonstrated attention to detail, organizational and interpersonal skills

* Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment

* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

* Working knowledge of safety standards of equipment

* Ability to work rotating and/or continental shifts

* Ability to work independently, without supervision

* Ability to work overtime to meet customer requirements



Job Duties and Responsibilities

* Demonstrated knowledge of basic electrical

* Basic machining skills (mills, lathes and grinders)

* Demonstrated ability to use measuring instruments (micrometers, verniers and calipers)

* Demonstrated knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics, pumps, gear boxes, bearing, seals and alignment of couplings

* Demonstrated knowledge of welding (mig, stick, brazing, oxy-acetylene)

* Demonstrated knowledge of rigging and man-lifts

* Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics

* Establish and follow-up project implementation, including timing, concept, feasibility, design, specifications, construction and commissioning, as required

* Provide support in troubleshooting, repairing and making system improvements (optimization), to ensure quality and efficiencies within the department

* Identify root cause of equipment failures and follow-up on feasibility of modifications

* Analyze, record, chart and maintain all documentation for maintenance records, projects and departments, including generating work orders and updates to SAP

* Prepare drawings and materials specifications for requisitions required by vendors or other departments

* Develop controls drawings and design concepts

* Deal with various vendors (Supplier and Equipment)

* Participate in cross-functional training (multi-skilling) activities related to other trades, within the organization

* Assist and support in all other technical areas, where required

* Ensure all operator safety devices function properly on completion of repairs, modifications and installations

* Maintain a clean and environmentally safe workshop and production lines.

* Perform other duties as required



Please note this position runs on a 3 shift rotation every 2 weeks.



Hourly Wage- $36- $38/hr plus shift premium
