Job Description

Our manufacturing client 40 minutes NORTH of Barrie, ON is looking to add several LICENSED millwrights to their team!

The Role:
  • Ensure mechanical equipment and industrial machinery function properly allowing production to continue efficiently. Includes both facility infrastructure and manufacturing automation and equipment/production lines.
  • Reading blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures and trouble shooting.
  • Install, align, dismantle, and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, furnaces, and generators according to layout plans using hand and power tools.
  • Operating hoisting and lifting devices, including cranes, jacks, and forklifts, to position machinery and parts during installation, set-up, and repair of machinery
  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and programable logic controls.
  • Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts, standardize components where possible.
  • Clean, lubricate, perform preventative maintenance procedures, and accurately log maintenance activities.
  • Stay current on scheduled and assigned PM work orders.
  • Operating machine tools- lathes, grinders, mills, to fabricate parts necessary for the overhaul, maintenance, or set-up of machinery.
  • Ability to perform basic metal fabrication skills, including fitting, welding, soldering and torch work
You Bring:
  • licensed Millwright
  • Preferred 3-5 year related experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • flexibility to work rotational shift (training on straight days for a few months)
