Job Description

Manpower Staffing is currently recruiting a Mud Motor Technician for our client located in SE Calgary.



Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm with possibility of overtime



Pay rate: $27.00/hr.



Length of Assignment: 6-months with possibility of extension



Description:

*The Mud Motor Technician is part of a proactive, motivated team accountable for safe, efficient, and on-time delivery of equipment as per operational demands.



The role entails:

*Participate in continuous improvement efforts to improve asset turnaround time, including reduced downtime due to maintenance, parts and repair authorization numbers, failures, and work-in-process.

*Implement CoSD projects, such as the planned repair and reuse of parts.

*Maintain assigned equipment according to the pertinent maintenance program and comply with the reliability centered maintenance strategy through adherence to the Computerized Maintenance Management System and application of standard work.

*Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs regularly



Mud Motor Specific Tasks & Responsibilities:

*Perform proper disassembly of downhole motors including power sections, lower ends, and supplemental drilling tools

*Assist in motor power section & lower end assemblies to meet operational demands

*Prepare outgoing equipment and required documentation for shipments

*Complete work orders and escalated to as per instructions laid out in the technology specific standards as well as the computerized maintenance management system

*Operate crane and forklift



The ideal candidate will have:

*High school diploma or equivalent acceptable

*Mechanical technical degree, trade certification, or 3+ years' experience in a mechanical field (automotive, agricultural, heavy machinery operator, etc.) is preferred

*Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and organizational skills.

*Basic computer literacy including keyboarding skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office

*Ability to operate torque machine, overhead crane, forklift and other related equipment.

*Criminal Record Check and Drug and Alcohol test required
