Job Description

Are you a Sales and Customer Service professional who strives to make a true difference in a business? A Manpower client in Des Moines has an immediate need for a National Account Manager. This is a permanent position with a Manpower client.

•Identify and attract strategic customers that offer the greatest growth opportunity and cultivate existing relationships to drive greater sales growth
•Collect and analyze market trends and data
•Develop and conduct effective sales presentations
•Respond productively to existing customer requests in a timely and professional manner
•Work closely with China-based staff to coordinate product sourcing and pricing
•Actively communicate and collaborate with company team members to drive further development of the company’s brand and to most efficiently implement sales plan
•Utilize ERP software for customer relations and order management
•Attend trade shows and conduct effective and timely follow-up with leads

•Excellent communication, presentation and leadership skills
•Team player with the ability to plan and implement sales strategy with limited supervision
•Ability to thrive in a competitive, goal-driven environment
•Ability to prioritize responsibilities and to operate with changing priorities
•Facility with MS Office, ability to read technical drawings
•Past sales experience developing and maintaining relationships with major retail or online distributor customers in agricultural, fencing and/or garden hardware product lines
•Experience working with foreign manufacturers and their representatives
•Expertise with electric and traditional fencing, and/or agricultural/ranching products
•Positivity in representing an organization or company to a diverse customer base
•Excitement in engaging new (and old) technologies
•Understanding, patience and persistence in approaching opportunities and challenges
•Flexibility in facing adversity
