Manpower is hiring for a parts clerk for a large Medical Systems company. If you have experience in parts sales, logistics, equipment install base service operations, and forklift operation, please read on.
Please Note: This position requires someone who can write and speak fluently in Japanese, as well as English.
What's in it for you:
* Monday - Friday: 8am - 5pm
* Pay Rate: $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
* Work Location: Torrance (will move to Long Beach between 1/2023 - 5/2023)
* Reporting to the Operations Manager and National Services Business Director
What you will be doing:
* Operating a Forklift
* Provide critical parts to customers, dealers, service department and other Shimadzu direct territories
* Using company ERP, catalogs, manuals, and other internal resources to identify correct parts, pricing and availability.
* Working independently to provide exceptional customer service and support on the full line of Shimadzu radiographic products.
* Backing up the Parts and Inventory Coordinator in times of absence.
* Recording and posting parts sales activity, customer warranty claims and repair orders on GP Dynamics ERP system
* Entering sales orders and process billing based on customer type and order type.
* Ensuring accuracy of billed parts serial numbers, item quantity and prices, customer account numbers, and delivery addresses.
* Performing Parts Inventory master data, levels and control
* Providing analysis of high moving and special-order parts for purchase requisitions and approval by the Operations Manager and National Service Director.
* Reporting backorders daily; report parts shipment hit rate on a monthly basis.
* Maintaining parts database registrations in the ERP; report cost changes as needed.
* Maintaining ERP parts pricing system.
* Ensuring inventory synchronization between ERP and WMS.
* Processing warranty claims and repairs to recover parts in accordance with companies and other vendor terms and conditions.
* Tracking and following up on open warranty claims.
* Maintaining inventory accuracy of the parts inventory dealing with location and integrity. Ensuring ERP information represents actual physical conditions.
* All other duties as assigned or required by the department manager.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Must be able to speak fluently in Japanese and English
Background in electronics and able to translate schematics and technical drawings.
Computer literate with the ability to utilize Excel functions and tools.
Basic knowledge in Distribution and Logistics.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to properly manage team members.
Must be a self-motivated individual.
Proper analytical and strong problem-solving skills.
Must be motivated and Team Builder.
Must be able to multi-tasks while aware of critical deadlines.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
