Manpower is hiring for a Payroll Tax Specialist, who has full knowledge of employment tax processing, and multi-state payroll experience. If you have experience using ADP and/ or SAP Success Factors, Manpower wants to speak with you!
What's in it for you:
* 4 days a week: 8AM - 5PM
* Temp to hire after 4 months
* Pay Rate: $27.80/hr.
* Located in Wilmington, CA
What you will be doing:
* Managing payroll tax compliance
* Resolving Payroll tax Discrepancies
* Conducting research on notifications received from state/federal agencies
* Supporting/immediate and professional service, including tax auditing and payroll issues
* Administering weekly payroll cycles as well as a semi - monthly payroll cycle (200 employees)
* Building custom reports
* Reconciling timecards - (manual adjustments for the 24hr rule, entering missed punches, removing extra punches, removing erroneous transfers, entering vacation, jury duty, sick pay, floating holiday, personal leaves, and FLMA, off-cycles, termed EEs who claim they are missing hours, etc.)
* Updating badges for new hires and existing EEs
* Performing various HR duties
* Please note: Will be trained to take over 401k processing, true-ups, matches and reports
The skills we are looking for:
* Must hold a bachelor's degree in a related field
* 3 - 5 years of Payroll linked to the HRIS system
* 3 - 5 years of experience in the USA with USA Payroll
* Must have experience using ADP or SAP SuccessFactors Payroll/Employee Central, and ADP Payroll
* Experience with SUTA, compliance, and reporting with required stated agencies
* Experience with direct payroll and employee records, including but not limited to: personnel changes, wage adjustments, garnishments, child support and liens, tax withholding changes, direct deposit, special withholding's, LOA/terminations, Benefits components: wage types, gross payroll deductions, tax authorities and tax models, health plans, insurance plans, savings plans, customer payroll schemas/rules, off cycle processing
* Must be adept in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Power, Point, Excel - pivot/formulas, etc.)
* General knowledge of Accounting and General ledger principles
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast- paced and deadline - oriented environment
* Excellent organizational skills and ability to manager ambiguity and competing priorities
* Strong analytical skills and ability to take new perspectives using existing solutions
