The Plant Manager drives all productivity, quality, safety, environmental, and cost initiatives within the Manufacturing organization. This individual is responsible for compliance to all Safety, Environmental, Quality and GMP regulations. This individual drives continuous improvement efforts to ensure operational excellence and collaborates well with other departments. Key Responsibilities





* Drives overall manufacturing activities to satisfy production throughput, capacity, and schedule attainment goals.

* Establishes, stewards, and communicates key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Manufacturing and Maintenance Teams.

* Leads cultural and continuous improvement practices to drive positive change throughout the organization. This includes leading problem-solving activities both within the Manufacturing Team and across departmental teams.

* Assumes a lead role in driving improved safety performance throughout the site. Works with the team to ensure necessary actions are taken to avoid preventable incidents and occurrences. Assures a safe working environment for all employees and compliance to all health and safety requirements.

* Oversees manufacturing personnel and is responsible for the performance management, hiring, training, and succession planning for the team.

* Defines optimum staffing level to meet production requirements in a cost-effective manner. Able to hold team accountable while maintaining a positive morale.

* Develops manufacturing cost budget on an annual basis. Ensures compliance to budget and reconciles all variances monthly. Drives cost savings opportunities to fruition.

* Drives process improvement and compliance to FDA Quality and current GMP practices and standards.

* Collaborates regularly with Maintenance Department regarding all equipment repairs and upgrades. Supports preventive maintenance program to minimize unscheduled downtime within the department.

* Collaborates with other Plant departments to assure alignment.

* Follows all environmental, health and safety protocols. Required Education And Experience

* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required; degree in Chemical or Mechanical engineering preferred

* Minimum 10 years of experience, including at least 5 years of experience in a supervisory capacity in a union environment Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

* Strong computer skills

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Demonstrated leadership and continuous improvement abilities
