Job Description
Responsible for serving the customer by creating and maintaining a clean, safe, highly productive plant, while making the most efficient and cost conscious use of the equipment, materials, and employees to produce high quality products on first pass production runs. The Plant Manager will work with the management team to create an environment that drives the spirit of winning, the power of collaboration and the essence of courage where employees are engaged and have the opportunity for career growth.
The Plant Manager is responsible for developing and gaining support for both the operating and capital budgets. Will drive continuous improvement efforts and achievement of plant goals and objectives. As the senior management representative at the location, the Plant Manager is expected to be the voice of the company and effectively communicate and gain commitment to key initiatives and programs on a timely basis.
The incumbent is primarily responsible for planning, directing and coordinating the operations. The Plant Manager is responsible for ensuring and improving the performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability of departmental and organizational operations through the provision of effective methods and strategies. This individual will be involved in a variety of management, leadership, and mentoring activities.
Requirements:
Proven success in plant/operations management.
Degree in chemical, mechanical or industrial engineering or MBA.
Experience in leading an OSHA PSM site within chemical manufacturing industry.
Experience required leading a facility in and demonstrated ability to successfully manage large CapEx projects on time and within budget.
Experience with PSM, ISO 9001, TS16949, ISO13485, TPM and Zero Defect methodologies.
