Job Description

A motivated Process Commissioning Specialist who is experienced in commissioning and startup of heavy industrial manufacturing facilities to support our manufacturing process development in Fremont. This role will be supporting projects related to Energy Manufacturing processes, and will be responsible for driving timely startup of our manufacturing processes and associated equipment



Responsibilities:





* Validate install of mechanical, process, electrical and control systems. Work through startup of manufacturing process equipment to achieve equipment performance specifications

* Perform install and adjustments of electrical, controls and data as required to get systems functioning



* Look for and implement improvements in design and construction for a better performing system

* Work closely with contractors and vendors during the construction process and ensure overall completeness of the installations, resolve and close open items immediately to keep progress moving forward

* Identify equipment, materials, or other necessities preventing system startup, work with project management team and vendors to resolve gaps immediately

* Support addressing any open issues and punch-list items

* Supporting design and operations team in specifications and standards review and modifications, by providing feedback and lessons learned from the project.



* Get your hands dirty as needed to complete objectives and lead your scopes through to completion

* Capacity to go above and beyond to support the mission as required



Requirements:





* 5+ years of relative experience in construction, commissioning, or facilities operations



* Thorough understanding and hands-on experience of fixed and rotary equipment, process gas and fluid systems, pneumatic systems, and associated instrumentation and controlling systems. Experience with manufacturing processes a bonus

* Deep understanding and working knowledge of local and national technical and safety standards and codes

* Capable of performing installation quality review and driving timely startup

* Fluent in P&ID and air flow diagrams. Able to provide Markups and feedback to engineering

* Excellent verbal and written skills, and ability to communicate risk and resources needed efficiently to peers and management



* Capability to work efficiently with engineers and technicians from other disciplines, as well as vendors and contractors to solve problems on the fly

* Good understanding of mechanical equipment testing procedures

* Experience with wide variety of production machinery, industrial sensors, and equipment (level, temperature and pressure transducers, current and power meters, etc.) is a plus
