Principal responsibilities:
The primary role of this position is to support control system troubleshooting and upset investigations. In addition, this role identifies, implements and supports improvement projects related to the DCS & SIS systems. This position will have responsibility for providing process control systems engineering support for our hydrogen producing facilities located in around the Houston, TX area. This position will be responsible for the long-term planning and support of the control systems under their care with respect to programming, preventive maintenance and migration. Emphasis placed on safety, teamwork and proficiency toward challenging work. Tasks will include implementing changes to the control logic, HMI, database, documentation of these changes and direct operator support. The individual would also align with local I&E technicians, providing support and be involved with instrument related maintenance tasks. Role requires contribution to the improvement and optimization of existing assets, addressing instrumentation/automation system obsolescence issues and meeting organizational goals for safety, reliability, cyber security, cost reduction contributions.
Qualifications:
Degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology with relevant control systems experience. Be self-motivated and have strong interpersonal and communication skills. This individual must be capable of working in a team environment with shared responsibilities.
