Job Description
About the Job:
* Measure, model, and simulate operations, generating and evaluating ways to improve and optimize the business performance
* Partner with industrial engineers, process engineers and data to rapidly test, implement, and iterate on process changes
* Create process maps and models, and use them to inform rigorous process simulations
* Conduct time studies and productivity flow charts, quantifying ideal and actual performance metrics
* Monitor and reduce process variation using techniques such as Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA)
* Support the quality team and participate in Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and control plans, both for short-term containment measures and longer-term corrective actions
* Analyze data available anywhere within the Fender factory to expose, highlight, and evaluate process trends
What You Need:
* BS Engineering degree or equivalent experience
* Blackbelt Six Sigma
* 10+ years' experience in manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years' experience in Lean Manufacturing organization
* Spanish language is a must
* Rigorous analytical skills: able to collect data, perform statistical process control, and process capability analysis
* Advanced skills in Excel and SQL; familiar with analytical software and programming languages (eg Matlab, Python, R, etc)
* Reverse-engineer process maps by observing and documenting operational processes
* Familiarity with a variety of Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis
* Strong problem solving skills, and proficient with structured problem solving techniques such as DMAIC, Ishikawa, Five Why (5W) or Eight Disciplines (8D)
* Expert in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, continuous improvement
* Demonstrated talent for implementing process flow improvements
* Strong written communication skills, able to tailor communication between non-technical and technical audiences
* Experience communicating and working with a broad array of business partners (field installers, software developers, leaders, etc)
