Job Description

We are looking for a Process Quality Manager to support our manufacturing facility in Athens, GA. You will be responsible for the process quality engineering team in our facility, with a focus on product & process quality & reliability. The process quality team works in concert with the manufacturing engineering team, supplier quality, engineering, and service engineering to continuously improve the performance of product and processes.



The Process Quality Manager will work to support the Athens products line and will be responsible for leading the quality engineering team efforts. The position will report to the Manager of Quality & Carrier Excellence.



Responsibilities include:





* You will be responsible for assuring that the manufacturing process output quality level continues to have year over year positive impact PPM metrics.

* Support the process quality engineers in meeting business goals and maintaining the process documentation standards required by the quality systems.

* Conduct Process Certification, Product and Process Qualification Audits.

* Support the daily plant manufacturing team for defect resolution, test-related failures and the management of non-conforming material.

* Your role is an integral team member of the Operations Product Line team.

* Investigate and resolve reported supplier-related manufacturing issues working closely with Supplier Quality Engineering counterparts.

* Lead turnbacks /escapes team for identified continuous improvement projects to improve product first pass yield, assembly turnbacks, and customer complaints. Oversee turnback/escape resolution process with the quality engineers and mentor activity.

* Address field complaints working with the field support engineering.

* Responsible for monthly reporting and presenting to leadership team.

* Be involved in the support of root cause and corrective action activity.

* Lead and mentor quality engineering team, including performance reviews.



Education / Certifications:



Bachelor's degree in Quality or Engineering discipline



8+ years of experience or Master's degree with 4+ years of related experience.



Experience / Qualifications



The position requires someone with leadership and technical skills commensurate with the product lines being handled, and administrative/management skills to handle various presentation and reporting requirements. You will require attention to detail, and the ability to work on his/her own initiative with a dedicated strategic approach to challenges. You will need to lead direct reports in the setting priorities, meeting customer expectations, and creating a results-oriented environment.
