Procurement Buyer – Schenectady, NY – $24 to 26 per hour
Manpower is partnering with a leading global developer and manufacturer of performance additives and intermediates, with strong market positions in the plastics, oilfield, rubber, fuels & lubricants, active pharmaceutical ingredients and industrial resins industries. They are looking for a Procurement Buyer to join their team in Schenectady, NY. This is a temporary position with opportunity for growth and potential to lead to a permanent position. Hybrid work model.

What will you be doing?
The Buyer is responsible for supporting the transactional procurement activity for the supply of direct materials to the regional manufacturing/partner locations in line with business requirements and commercial concepts and guidelines.
Support and lead supplier negotiations.
Manage supplier relationships.
Provide support to Logistics for import management/administration for imported products.
Track shipments, expedite and resolve demurrage and develop process improvements.
What do you bring?
At least 5 years of experience in Procurement/Buyer role, manufacturing industry is a plus
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
SAP experience is required
Collaborative team player
Resourceful and technologically savvy
Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills
