Job Description

Manpower is looking for 1st shift Procurement Specialist Position to be responsible for sourcing and then purchasing coordination for custom projects one of the nation's largest commercial decorating companies.

What Is the Job?



Maintain our database of vendors, keeping accurate records on current contacts.



Source new vendors for purchasing and installations based on our client's needs.



Negotiate fair and competitive prices on any materials that we purchase.



Coordinate smooth production and freight from purchasing to receipt of materials.



Write Purchase orders for items purchased in accordance with the Purchase Order system guidelines.



Monitor freight on projects directly related to each project's needs. Communicate to the appropriate parties all relevant updates.



Prepare proposals, request quotes and negotiate purchase terms and conditions



Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues and concerns



Inspect and evaluate the quality of purchased items and resolve shortcomings



Purchase goods or services that meet the quantity and quality expectations of the organization



Liaison with production team to manage inventory stock level



Prepare monthly Key Performance Indicator reports



Procure materials as needed for installation effectively and responsibly.



Manage domestic freight to and from clients for our rental inventory as needed.



Manage distribution process of National Retail inventory when required by clients



What You Bring to the Job?



Two Years' Experience in a Similar Role



Proficiency in MS Suite



Strong organizational, time management and communication skills



Team player working closely with clients, vendors, and all internal teams



Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate project status to all parties



Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment



Flexible, self-motivated and highly organized.



Detail oriented and able to follow multiple projects and deadlines.



Organized and not put off by rapidly changing expectations and demands



Self-motivated, proactive and innovative in style.
