Job Description

Production Superintendent

* Manage overall manufacturing operations including costs and efficiencies for metal fabrication and powder coating lines for Terrell, Texas Skyline Drive Building A location.

* Ensure that employees are fully trained in, committed to, and conduct their activities in accordance with all aspects of Safety and Quality systems.

* Lead reliability, compliance, quality and safety programs for assigned area; ensure required government and/or environmental regulations are followed.

* Direct and manage the manpower planning, training, and deployment for operations activities.

* Develop direct reports through mentoring, training, education and project work. Identify training needs of personnel, initiate and participate in required training to maintain the highest skill level.

* Review and establish priorities for Continuous Improvement activities; direct the statistical analysis of projects or processes.

* Define and prioritize operational goals and objective and manage projects to meet corporate goals and customer deadlines. Direct the team in solving specific challenges and overcoming project roadblocks when necessary, so that agreed upon goals and objectives are met. Guide direct personnel toward the achievement of established goals.

* Complete and present annual performance appraisals for all direct report employees, outlining positive and negative performance, and document a plan of action for sub-par performers. Assess the skill level of employees and provide training as needed to advance skills. Provide feedback for employee's annual appraisal that perform in other areas but are not direct reports.

* Work side by side with planning functions to achieve 100% on-time delivery

* Coordinates and directs through managers, all functions of facility operations, including but not limited to Manufacturing, Engineering, Safety, Quality, and HR

* Attracts, selects, develops, trains, coaches, appraises and motivates managers and other personnel for key staff positions and the facility


* Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or logistics is preferred

* Prior management experience in a high volume/high mix metal fabrication operation preferred

* Experience with Metal/Metal Fabrication is Required

* Experience managing 100+ employees

* Experience working at a company that does minimum 50 million in revenue
