Job Description
A leading energy provider is actively seeking a Utilities Project Coordinator/Designer to join their growing team!
Job Responsibilities:
* Creating, updating and revising sketches
* Working on drawings and contract documents using Computer Assisted Design (CAD) software
* Preparing 2D and 3D models
* Preparing documentation to support design drawings
* Preparing bills of material, schedules, and assist engineering personnel with formal drawing transmittals and construction issues
* Communicating with customers on a daily basis - determining scope of work to be done
* 40% in the field; 60% in the office
Requirements:
* High School diploma or GED; 2 year technical degree preferred
* One year experience in design, construction, project management or related field
* Must be able to read and comprehend detailed customer requirements, data sheets and supplier specifications
* Familiarity with drafting techniques and engineering concepts and terminology
* Ability to read engineering drawings and blueprints
* Utility experience preferred
* Working knowledge of GIS, ED/SW, ServConn, SAP, MS Office and related systems
* MUST OWN VEHICLE AND INSURANCE (mileage reimbursement included)
This is a 12-24 month project with potential to convert into a permanent role.
Hours are Monday through Friday: 7:00AM - 3:30PM (some flexibility)
Location: Minnetonka, MN
Compensation: $20-$25/hour
