Job Description
Primary Objective: Lead and manage projects as part of Sustaining Engineering function to achieve revenue continuity, sustaining engineering, product development and overall business objectives. Partner directly with Operations, R&D and Commercial stakeholders to lead and manage project execution to ensure business and revenue continuity.
Essential Job Functions
* Deliver controlled and predictable project execution with a primary focus on revenue continuity, supply shortage and sustaining engineering projects and initiatives as dictated by business priorities.
* Lead and facilitate execution of Revenue Continuity Team (RCT) objective to mitigate impact of parts shortages and reduce or eliminate production line-down due to parts shortages.
* Collaborate with cross-functional leadership and key stakeholders to create an aligned overall project plan and schedule for complex projects (e.g. sustaining engineering, supply chain and production initiatives).
* Support implementation of the project roadmap.
* Define the charter, scope, goals, criteria, and guidelines of a project and develop full-scale project plans and associated communication documents.
* Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify project risks, and proactively devise contingency plans to achieve necessary project objectives and key results.
* Drive business process simplification, standardization and excellence through continuous improvement philosophies and tools.
Minimum Qualifications:
Required Education & Experience:
* Bachelor's Degree in a scientific, engineering, business administration related discipline.
* 4-5 + years of experience with increasing responsibility within the program/project and portfolio management discipline in life sciences, supply chain, operations, product development or equivalent.
* Project leadership and management experience in regulated industry.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
* Demonstrated history of successful project management organizational leadership and successful achievement of organizational business objectives.
* Knowledge of project management best practices including tools such as MS project.
* Ability to influence work direction and execution without direct authority.
* Demonstrated experience in deployment and execution of PMO strategy.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Masters Degree in a scientific, engineering, business administration related discipline.
* PMP, supply chain professional or similar/related professional certification.
* Knowledge of medical device product development, design controls and associated regulatory standards.
* Business process management and/or lean six sigma experience.
