Job Description
The primary function of the position is to manage filtration projects sold to the US and Canadian markets ranging from small pilot plants valued from as low as $25k to multi-machine projects up to ~$15M.
Key attributes of this position are as follows:
* This is a very customer facing position. In most cases you will be the one to kickoff the project with the customer via phone meeting or in person. You will initiate and develop the customer relationship from an OFCE (project execution and implementation) perspective.
* You would drive clarification of the customer's process, floorspace, utility, component, and delivery requirements
* You'll engineer the filtration system(s) process using what you'll learn about the science of filtration, by using local processes and tools, then you'll drive review & approval of engineered P&IDs with our filtration experts following your process design of our systems.
* To do this, you'll use Autocad to modify sales P&IDs for your projects as per finalized customer requirements and engineering
* You'd create the bill of materials based on your engineered design, and communicate the BOM to our buyer for purchasing
* You'll drive the 3D modelling of your projects by working with our filtration design team and then work with the fabricator to ensure the 3D model is clear, questions are clarified, and ensure system construction is per the plan.
* Financial management of project
* Optimize engineered design for best performance as well as best value
* Monthly financial forecasts (estimate of labor, materials, travel costs, contingency, warranty, etc) as project progresses to monitor costs as they hit the project.
* Make the project schedule including milestones and work closely with your project team to ensure the project requirements are clear, and project team is tracking as per the agreed budget / hours sold.
* Coordinate with our installation supervisor at the conclusion of fabrication
Formal Education: 4 year engineering degree; PM experience
Location: Champlin, MN (Remote potential but ideally, within commute range)
Travel Requirement: Less than 25% (U.S. and Canada)
Compensation: $80,000 - $115,000+ depending on experience (plus, 10-12.5% bonus once hired on)
This is a contract to hire opportunity (looking to hire directly within 3 months).
