Job Description

Our client, a world class CPG manufacturer is looking for an experienced Promo Planner SP&D to work at their head office Downtown Toronto.

I. Position Summary:

This position plans, schedules and oversees the production of Special Packs and Displays within the Category to support customer and business requirements. This includes working closely with cross-functional teams to manage and execute production of special projects within their defined timelines, and ongoing regular SP&D items. The successful candidate will be able to plan production based on a given forecast, maintain adequate inventory levels, and be flexible in adapting to changing business requirements and effectively communicate issues to all stakeholders. The candidate must be a highly motivated, organized and proactive individual. Experience in planning and multi-functional teams will be considered a strong asset.

A few of the key metrics for this position include customer service, inventory levels, and waste. The interfaces for the promo planner are extensive, including but not limited to: ISV, 3PM Co-packer, Supply Planning, Customer Service, Procurement, Customer Packaging and Warehousing.

II. Position Responsibilities (Expected Work):

1. Manage all aspects of production scheduling and planning for SP&D within the category.

2. Key interface between project leads, supply planning, Customer Service and 3PM co-packer as it pertains to executing SP&D projects.

3. Responsible for completing Supply Chain related activities as it pertains to the project timeline (i.e. Forecast and feedstock review, PO creation, and other planning related activities)

4. Work closely with Project Leads and cross-functional teams via project meetings/networks to drive timeline adherence and manage critical changes/updates for successful executions.

5. Manage changes to promotional requirements while maintaining customer service, working capital targets and minimizing waste.

III. Experience/Education

* Undergraduate degree, preferably in Supply Chain, Engineering or Commerce

* A minimum of 2 years experience in Production Planning or Forecasting

* Working with cross-functional Teams

* Executing project timelines

* Strong problem-solving and leadership skills

* Strong communication skills

* Experience in Packaged Goods is preferred
