Job Description

The Quality Assurance Technician is a hands-on position that is also responsible for performing various clerical duties within the QA Department.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

* Provide quality overview of Production floor, including, but not limited to set-ups and approvals, sample inspection, and qualification of production activities.

* Communicate issues with Work Orders to Project Coordination, Scheduling, and Operations.

* Review, verify and approve production paperwork in order to facilitate release of customer shipments.

* Responsible for inspection of internal and client documents and their compliance with customer specifications and requirements.

* Responsible for immediate notification of quality issues to the proper Supervisor/Manager.

* Record data for internal analysis of finished goods.

* Maintain files and records within the department.

* Maintain equipment calibration schedules and documentation.

* Assist in maintaining Quality System documentation (updating binders, etc.).

* Participate in and/or assist with preparations for internal QA audits, Customer audits, and Regulatory Agency audits as required.

* Assist in the resolution of customer complaints.

* Assist with and/or conduct cGMP training, if requested.

* Responsible for the overall Safety and cleanliness of equipment and area.

* Work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures.

* Overtime is required.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.



Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have proficient computer skills.



OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

The Quality Assurance Technician position requires previous knowledge of quality systems or manufacturing experience. Must be proficient in math and computer skills. Attention to detail a must. Flexible work schedule and reliable transportation required.
