Job Description

Our client, a world class plant-based Food manufacturer is looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Analyst to join their team.

As a QA Analyst, You will be performing Analysis of finished goods and raw materials and confirm products meet standards for spreads (margarine), Communicating with production line supervisor in case of contamination, Inventory Lab material and stock control, record QA micro schedules binder up to date, Assisting in everyday organization of Microbiology laboratory including cleaning, maintenance and ordering of supplies.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

1. Collect samples and reported microbiological data on regular bases,

2. Log in the results in micro binder

3. Micro testing of finish good and raw material products meet standard,

4. Monitor trends to ensure the company meets GMP requirements in relation to microbiological control to ensure product safety and efficiency

5. Ensure that laboratory operations are in compliance with GMP, internal SOPs and safety practices

6. Run environmental test for lab and production lines, media predation for bacterial growth

7. Communicate with external Lab. Regarding further testing requirements

8. Prepare culture dilution media for bacterial growth

9. Swab and analyzed different production line points, drains after CIP

10. Work closely with production staff to solve the problem

11. QMS work

12. Participate in different continuous improvement projects (i.e. TPM activities, Capabilities studies, HACCP, consumer complaints, etc).

13. Participate in different investigations and reports when is required.

14. File QA - plant documents

15. Assist with improving the data supply for the area.

16. Support QA team on any requirement related to the nature of QA department

Are you interested? The ideal candidate will possess:

1. Bachelor's Degree and/or diploma in Microbiology.

2. 1-2 years of experience working in a Chemical Laboratory and Microbiology Laboratory

3. Knowledge of HACCP/FFSC and GFSI Certifications.

4. Willingness to work on weekends whenever the need arises

5. Excellent computer skills including MS Office including Excel, Word, Power Point, Access and Outlook, as well as internet. SAP knowledge would be considered an asset

6. Experience with Continuous improvement, GMP, HACCP and microbiological testing would be considered an asset

7. Demonstrated analytical, detailed oriented and problem solving skills

8. Able to work in a fast pace environment

9. A keen eye for details.

10. Ability to multitask, and effectively handle challenges.

11. Self-motivated, competitive and upbeat attitude
