Job Description

Position: Quality Assurance Manager (Seafood Manufacturing)
Salary range: $55,000 to $60,000 BOE
Location: New Brunswick, Canada.
Employment type: Full Time Permanent 

Job Summary: 
accountable for all quality and technical duties of the plant. 
Responsible for inspecting all production procedures and outputs and identifying mistakes or non-conformity issues.
The goal is to assure the highest quality of our products and operations.
Ensure that all external and internal quality requirements of our plant are met for quality, food safety according to CFIA, SQF, FDA and other standards before our products reaches our customers. 

Core Duties: 
• Plan, manage, update, maintain and monitor technical standards and policies of the plant as per SQF and CFIA standards of the plant to retain and continuously improve SQF, BRC and other quality certifications of the business. 
• The plant is third party audited and you must lead the quality team and ensure assuming the entire audit with the auditors and increase the current points of certification for the plant. 
• Provide daily supervision and guidance to floor foreman, quality technicians, and all other staff of the plant from receiving to finished product shipped. 
• Daily keep records of quality reports, forms, customer and stakeholders’ complaints, statistical reviews and relevant documentations of the company.
• Ensure all legal standards relating to quality of products of the business are met.
• Devise procedures to inspect and report all quality issues to concerned parties.
• Monitor all operations that affect quality of products.
• Assure the reliability and consistency of production by checking final output.

Requirement: 
• Bachelor’s degree in food science or related major and/or equivalent work experience is required.
• QA work experience in fish or food industry, 3 years or more (Required)
• Experience of 3 years SQF or BRC certified firm (Required)
• Experience of 3 years HACCP (Required)
• French advanced level (Required)
• English advanced level (Required)
• Prior experience in a lobster/crab processing plant (Asset) 
• Bilingual English/French in both written and spoken (Asset)
• Previous BRC certification and experience (Asset)
