Job Description

Our client, in Markham is seeking a Receptionist/HR Coordinator to join their team. With a minimum of 5 years experience to join their team. This position start asap and is ideal for individuals looking to advance within an HR environment.

What will you be doing?

· Meet, greet and receive visitors in a professional and congenial manner, directing them to the correct receiving party.
· Answer all in-coming calls and route appropriately.
· Responsible for receiving and sending couriered packages and reconciling monthly invoices.
· Regular order of office supplies, refreshments, coffee order etc.
· Checkup office supplies/inventories, refill paper stacks for office printers
· Sort and distribute mail to appropriate mailboxes; receive packages and distribute to the proper attention.
· Order courier pick up for inter-office mailing, any shipment through FedEx courier as per request.
· Assist with ad hoc projects within Human Resources and our Corporate offices;
- Assist with reference checks for new employees as required.
- Track and maintain Recruitment data for various reports.
- Initiate and coordinate onboarding tasks to ensure timely completion, including personnel announcements.
- Service awards.
- Edit job postings and post externally and internally.


· College diploma and/or relevant education with minimum of 5 years office/Reception experience.
· Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint.
· Experience with Applicant Tracking Software tools and SharePoint an asset.
· Advanced interpersonal and communication skills. Self-starter who works well in a team.
· Proven ability to handle and prioritize a variety of activities ensuring items are tracked, monitored, and followed-up in a timely manner, demonstrating proactive problem-solving skills.
