Job Description

Summary of Position:

Under the general direction of the Human Resources Manager, the Recruiter will assist in recruiting all levels of Caljan employees, from helping to develop job descriptions, preparing/posting job advertisements, sourcing candidates, conducting phone screens, interviewing, and preparing job offer letters.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities



* Confers with management to identify staffing needs, job requirements and duties.

* Creates and/or updates job descriptions

* Develops and maintains network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates.

* Writes and places job openings first internally and then by advertising in various media.

* Works with external recruiters, employment agencies and online recruiting sources to identify and recruit candidates.

* Initiates contact with possibly qualified candidates for specific job openings.

* Reviews applications and interviews applicants to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements and to provide information about the organization and position.

* Screens and refers candidates for additional interviews with others in organization.

* Recommends and coordinates participation in job fairs.

* Develops and maintains contacts with vocational schools and other public organizations to find and attract applicants.

* Provides information on company facilities and job opportunities to potential applicants.

* Initiates reference checks and pre-employment drugs screens and background checks on applicants.

* Coordinates communications with applicants.

* Develops and sends job offer letters to final candidates.

* Prepares new hire announcements for all new employees.

* Assists with New Employee Orientation (NEO), including preparing NEO folders for first day.

* Enters new hire information in both ADP and Microsoft Dynamics AX.

* Files and maintains employment records for future reference.

* Other duties as assigned.

Directs implementation of human resources policies, programs, and procedures. Advises management and employees on questions or problems relating to human resources. May be skilled in compensation, benefits, employment, affirmative action, training, and safety. Requires a four year degree and relevant experience.
