Job Description
Reliability Engineer Functional Role
* Ensures EHS compliance and continuous improvement in EHS performance
* Responsible for development of the site's asset reliability strategy and for preventive and predictive maintenance program and processes
* Drives root cause analysis and correction to eliminate equipment reliability problems
* Leads implementation and maintenance of site's equipment criticality analysis. Monitors, reviews, and improves existing asset maintenance practices for effectiveness and adherence to established industry or company best practices
* Drives continuous improvement in maintenance practices making data-driven decisions including use of quantitative metrics and most current CMMS data
* Participates in the development and improvement of reliability SOPs and work instructions to support the program
* Partners with functional groups and the planners/schedulers to develop the scope and schedules for all equipment shutdowns
* Responsible review and modification of shutdown plans on site dynamics, equipment issues, and production schedules
* Ensures clear and timely communication to sites functional groups on all shutdown issues
* Provides technical support for plant equipment and system troubleshooting
* Leads significant equipment repair initiatives, support Capital projects, and assigned process improvements
* Ensures that reliability program is executed in compliance with requirements of OSHA's PSM regulations
* Consults asset management development strategies to ensure activities conform to Recognized and Generally Accepted Good Engineering Practices (RAGAGEP)
* Vigorously track sand report monthly metrics (Key Performance Indicators, KPI's) as well as prepare technical progress reports on active projects and initiatives
* Satisfies all Corporate Quality Requirements and ISO9001 Quality Management System
* Practices Responsible Care 14001 through active participation in the Responsible Care Management System and adhere to the Guiding Principles of Responsible Care 14001
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
* Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent Experience
* Strong MS-Excel, MS-Word and database skills
* Extensive Process Industry equipment knowledge and experience
* Clear and concise communication skills - verbal and written
