Job Description

The Sr. Metrologist will manage and perform calibrations of the equipment supporting the sites operations and will also maintain the tolerances, repeatability, reliability, and the monitoring of equipment to ensure the facility is always safe and functional. You will also be responsible for applying calibration techniques and processes to drive, develop, implement, control and improve calibration executions to ensure compliance and tolerance adherence.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Tools and their uses

 Facilities Safety understanding along with LOTO usage and execution

 Gowning and ability to perform tasks in clean rooms

 Calibration applications, techniques and process enhancements along with instrumentation functions

 Maintenance and safety functions to support the department

 GMP and GDP execution

 SOP adherence, suggested corrections modifications and improvements, implementing changes and routing for approval

 Calibration documentation management, SOP and instruction alignment

 Management of external calibrations, vendor alignment and calibration certificate review





JOB DESCRIPTION

 Organize calibration projects, prioritize workloads and reporting challenges to the supervisor

 Budgetary input for operational expenses to supervisor and management

 Material, Tools, Equipment, and consumable identification for the department

 Team development

 Asset control and lifecycle execution

 Apply calibration techniques and processes to drive, develop, implement, control and improve calibration executions to ensure compliance and tolerance adherence.

 Effectively communicate work results through discussions and documentation with input from supervisor.

 Collaborate with other departments including Engineering, Maintenance, and Validation to accomplish company goals and tasks.

 Support manufacturing and laboratory personnel to troubleshoot and repair equipment, instrumentation, and controls issues.

 Maintain calibration/ PM program in Blue Mountain to include generating PM SOPs/records, establishing Cal/PM frequencies, specifying spare parts and recommending/maintaining inventory levels as needed.

 Initiate/complete various types of GMP documentation such as change control, deviations, corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs), documentation revisions.





EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

 High School Diploma or GED.

 10+ years Metrology experience working in a regulated GMP environment.

 Calibration/Metrology certifications preferred.

 Positive, professional attitude toward work and willingness to cooperate with co-workers and supervisors and to contribute to a project team.
