Senior Production Lead $28-$30/hr DOE
SUNDAY-THURSDAY 4/10 SHIFT SCHEDULE

What is the Job?
* Direct oversight of Production Operators: maintain accountability of all operators and drive metrics on safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and continuous improvements.
* Responsible for achieving production schedules in support of customer needs.
* Reviews dispatch throughout workday, assigns jobs based on level of priority
* Drive Safety Awareness and Improvements
* Review methods/procedures and recommend improvements to drive lean initiatives
* Guides operators to assure jobs completed within allotted labor standards
* With oversight of manager, assures that all allocated labor hours are properly utilized for maximum efficiency
* Provides operator training in conjunction with Manufacturing Engineer, Design Engineer and/or Manager
* Train and develop associates in skills, processes, and procedures required to effectively perform their jobs
* Procedural Compliance: Assures operators are following all documented work instructions and procedures
* Participates in review of daily build plan with lead employees, coordinates handoff of high priority jobs for timely completion
* Reports and records issues related to Production, Quality and On Time Delivery
* Ensure proper product delivery including escalation and resolution of high exposure items
* Support business and purchasing department activities by ordering supplies and raw materials
* Provide administrative support and maintain inventory and purchase records throughout the procurement process
* Respond to customer and supplier inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations.
* Perform buying duties when necessary, and contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries
* Compare prices, specifications and delivery dates to assist in determine the best bid
* Track the status of requisitions, contracts and orders, and calculate relevant costs.
* Participate in vendor relationship management, identifying cost-saving opportunities to support the company's profitability goals
* Work closely with specific departments by placing orders, ensuring that purchases are recorded at the time of request
What do you bring to the job?
* Associate Degree (A.A.) or combination of education and experience
* Minimum 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
* Ability to prioritize, organize, problem solve, and meet deadlines and goals
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools and knowledge of MRP systems a plus
* Ability to work well under pressure and handle a variety of task simultaneously.
* Effective communicator, both written and verbal
* Ability to effectively escalate production/employee issues to get them resolved in a timely fashion
* Organized and detail oriented
* Demonstrates a high level of dependability and reliability, exhibited by being punctual and fulfilling all commitments
