Job Description

Manpower is currently seeking a Sr. Project Planner / Scheduler for a temporary contract position with a major oil and gas client in Calgary, AB. Don't wait… Apply today!



Location: Downtown Calgary

Length of Assignment: 12 months with possibility of extension

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours/week



What you will be doing:

* Develop level I, II, III & IV integrated project schedules under the direction of the Project Managers

* Build & maintain the master schedule for the entire assigned small project program.

* Integrate schedules of EPC firms and construction and establish logical work sequences to fit priorities identified by Project Execution strategy.

* Organize and facilitate integrated project planning sessions

* Co-ordinate with estimating and project cost specialists for cost & schedule alignment.

* Consolidate the progress and performance reporting for the project from EPC and construction; support construction management team (CMT) for monitoring construction progress.



What will you bring:

* Bachelor's degree in engineering, technical, or equivalent related experience

* Minimum of Five (5) years of Planning & Scheduling experience in the engineering, construction, project management of Oil & Gas related projects

* Superior working knowledge of Primavera

* Thorough knowledge of Engineering, Supply Chain, Fabrication and Construction processes as part of project execution

* Strong knowledge of plant equipment, materials and construction processes

* Excellent planning, time management, problem-solving and analytical skills

* Prior involvement in project completion and turnover, and understanding of applicable requirements for successful turn over to operations

* Proven ability to collaborate with people from various disciplines to achieve goals

* Project Scheduler role in an Oil & Gas, refining, petrochemical or upgrading industry project environment, at offices and at construction sites

* Development and implementation of supply chain, engineering and construction for Oil & Gas, refining, petrochemical or upgrading industry projects +5 years

* Proven experience in the execution of brownfield projects in the Oil & Gas, refining, petrochemical or upgrading industry

* Experience on most common scheduling software and superior experience with Primavera

* Experience in data analysis and reporting on metrics for individual projects and as a portfolio (ex. PowerBI, InEight/HardDollar, or other software)
