What is the job?
This is a dynamic role in the shipping and receiving department, some of the responsibilities include:
* Assists the Shipping & Receiving Coordinator
* Verifying and keeping records of incoming and outgoing shipments.
* Preparing paperwork for outgoing shipments, such as bill of lading, labels, and packing slips.
* Determining method of shipment according to customer specifications.
* Contacting carrier representative to make shipping arrangements.
* Maintaining inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
* Verifying and recording necessary information on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment.
* Forklift operation
What do you bring?
* Previous warehouse experience preferred
* Computer training or experience required
* High School Diploma/GED preferred
* Fork Truck Operation
* Basic understanding of Quality System and relevance to shipping and receiving activities
* Basic understanding of SPC
