Job Description

1 for the safe, compliant, efficient, & reliable operation of equipment & processes to produce products. Resp. to ensure all work is compliant with site and regulatory EHS requirements; that personnel and process safety risks are understood and controlled; performance of in-process quality control procedures to produce quality products free of defects; mgt of efficient raw material utilization; management of labor, material, supplies and other costs. As equipment owner of Production equipment, Manager is responsible for the proper operation, up-keep, reliability, cleanliness, and repair costs of equipment. to provide standard operating procedures for production work processes and to ensure compliance to procedures through training and skill development of production employees. to drive continuous improvement of all aspects of performance by setting targets, making performance visible, engaging employees in improvement efforts, and driving root cause problem solving. Serves as member of Site Leadership Team. Anticipates future requirements for site and develops and implements strategic plans to meet those requirements. Functional Department Leader Role. Ensures EHS compliance and continuous improvement in EHS performance. Ensures department goals are aligned with site business imperatives, Develops budget plans following a zero-based approach and manages Production costs. Ensures achievement of planned production volume. Ensures quality standards are achieved. Ensure asset care processes and procedures for Production are established and effectively executed; collaborates with Maintenance and Plant Technical Managers to proactively identify opportunities to optimize asset reliability. Drives execution of the production schedule to optimize production line usage, preventive maintenance activities, and workforce effectiveness. Monitor crew scheduling processes to optimize workforce performance and plant production. Establishes operational best practices to efficiently manage cost controls e.g. unplanned production downtime/delays and employee overtime. Is accountable for the problem-solving and RCA processes to resolve reliability problems, reduce risks. Establishes operational discipline by following all Production Manager daily standard work processes, monitors, measures, and audits department leaders to ensure accountability for following daily standard work processes. Consistently assess and evaluate adherence to standard work models and processes. for maintaining site's production execution & operating processes (The Operating Envelope) linking compliance, EHS, reliability, production, yield, quality, cost, and capital projects to mitigate production risks and maximize production value. Leads department performance and improvement through alignment and effective use of the planning and performance management cycle (PPMC). Sets clear goals, rigorously monitors KPI progress towards goals, and takes action to ensure accomplishment of goals. Creating a Culture of Continuous Improvement. Drives LEAN/Six Sigma, continuous improvement of processes and operations for increased productivity and efficiency.

2 degree preferably in Engineering or Chemistry, or demonstrated equivalency. (10) years of experience, in Process industry manufacturing. 10 years manufacturing exp & 5+yrs supervisory exp. preferably leading another functional department in a manuf environment. Knowledge of relevant chem proc technologies & performance drivers. Knowledge of site's process safety risks and mitigations. Able to effectively apply a variety of lean management principles and methodologies.
