Job Description

Manpower is currently recruiting for remote Support Desk Engineers I, for our Client in Saint John, NB. These positions start August 10, 2020, and will last for one month, with possible extensions and permanency. These positions are shift work, primarily Monday to Friday with various start times between 10am to 3pm, and the occasional weekend work. These positions pay $20/hour and you will be asked to fill out a criminal record check.



The Support Desk Engineer I provides the first line defense for clients. They are responsible for actively listening to and engaging with clients, troubleshooting, and managing Tier 1 client incidents in a Support Desk environment. Every Engineer is measured on completed tickets, resolution met, CSAT (customer satisfaction) and ticket utilization set forth by their direct manager. You will be introduced to more advanced analytics including backup remediation, root cause analysis for infrastructure related

outages, deploying patches and remediating alerts related to patches and more.



Required Skills/Competencies for the Support Desk Engineer I:



* Must have experience utilizing remote control software to troubleshoot and resolve desktop support issues

* Minimum 2 years experience in a Windows or Mac desktop support environment

* Understanding of network infrastructure environment (i.e. LAN/WAN)

* Degree in computer science, management information systems or similar preferred

* Experienced in deploying OS installation via scripted, unattended methods, Ghost, Sysprep, and other imaging methods

* Strong Troubleshooting skills



Required Technology Experience (Experience with 4 or more of the following):

* Mac Operating Systems

* Windows XP/Vista/7/10 and Windows 2003/2008/2012

* Office 2013/2016/365

* Citrix XenApp client

* Active Directory

* Hardware Firewall/Router (Configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting)

* VMware ESX 4/5/5.5 experience/understanding



Bonus Skills (Desired but not required):

* MTA, VCA, CCENT and CCA-AD certifications

* Autotask, LogicMonitor and Kaseya

* Symantec Backup Exec

* ITIL v3 certification

* A+, Network+, Security+
